International Women’s Day 2013: A Book Launch

I’m off to a book launch tonight for Michelle Dicinoski‘s memoir Ghost Wife. I’m not sure if the launch was planned with IWD in mind, but it’s a very happy coincidence.

I just bought the book yesterday and marking has interfered with my desire to sit down and read it; however, I’ve managed the first chapter, and while it’s non-fiction, it feels like fiction, by which I guess I mean poetic, not that it’s not factual. It’s beautiful and thoughtful already.

(Conflict of interest declaration: I’ve worked in the same computer room and attended some of the same parties as the author.)

Update, after the launch, dinner, and a bus ride home:

Michelle reads from Ghost Wife, which you can find in at least ten good book stores.

Yes, I have figured out how to get an ebook signed!
